Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Crimson, a diminished saltire couped between in pale an atom symbol and a fleur-de-lis, and in fess a lightning flash and a double-end wrench palewise Or.

Symbolism
Crimson and yellow are the colors for the Ordnance Corps. The heraldic saltire simulates the Roman numeral "ten" and alludes to the name of the organization. The atom symbol, wrench and electric bolt, indicate the battalion's mechanical nuclear and electrical support mission. The fleur-de-lis symbolizes the unit's European World War II campaign honors.

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 9 November 1954.
